Adult Catholic Identity Series

A recent Church Document by our Catholic bishops entitled "Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us" states:

"Adult Faith Formation, by which people consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer, and study must be the central task in the work of catechesis... Such lifelong formation is always needed and must be a priority in the church's catechetical ministry; moreover, it must be considered the chief form of catechesis.  All other forms, (including children and youth) are indeed always necessary, but in some way oriented to adult catechesis."

The work of adult catechesis or faith formation is to invite adults to be faithful to our Baptismal mission, encourage conversion of heart, faithful discipleship and sharing the light of faith in our neighborhoods, places of work, homes and centers of culture.

Small Faith Groups nourish, support and help us know belonging.  What must always accompany small faith group gatherings are the larger gatherings that stretch beyond our small group and help us to realize belonging to a larger community of faith.

For the above reasons we invite all members of the parish to plan to attend these activities to inspire and deepen your faith journey.  These activities are free and open to all.  Bring relatives, neighbors and friends.

We welcome you to walk the journey of faith with another -- to join a Small Faith Group and discover a new face of God!
