Music Ministry

"Praise God with trumpet, tambourines, flute and strings, and clash of cymbals; let everything that has breath, praise the Lord."  Psalm 150

Music is central to our celebration as a faith community, creating a vibrant liturgical celebration on ordinary weekends as well as during the high holy days.  We are "eclectic" in our choice of music, balancing our tradition with contemporary writing.  Our assemblies are "singing assemblies" supported by choir, cantors, and instrumentalists, so that full and active participating is possible.  Musical liturgy is the norm for our parish celebrations.

The ministry of music at the Church of Saint William is open to all ages from middle school on up.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Music Room in the church building -- no auditions are necessary.  Instrumentalists and cantors as well as choir members are always welcome.  Various ensembles are present for each of the regular weekend liturgies.
